Planning / Sample submission

A useful sample starts
with a defined plan.

Arrange the analytical scope and sample instructions before collection or shipment. Requirements depend on the matrix and the work requested.

01 / Before collecting

Identify the material, target elements, number of samples and the specification you want to evaluate. Explain whether you need a total-element measurement or a particular chemical form.

For water, tissues and unusual matrices, obtain the collection, preservation and transport instructions for your project first.

02 / Keep samples identifiable

Assign a distinct sample ID to each lot or material. Use the same identifiers in your request and on the submitted samples. Explain how the samples relate to each other.

For product samples, keep packaging sealed where practical. Agree on sample amounts before sending material.

03 / Arrange delivery

Use the submission and receiving instructions supplied with your quotation. A contact address alone is not a set of shipping instructions.

Include known handling restrictions and timing constraints in the inquiry. Do not ship hazardous or biological material without an intake review.

04 / Keep the scope on record

Retain the quotation, sample identifiers and requested reporting basis. These connect your original question with the final report.
